HPD: Man kidnaps woman, demands she calls her brothers so he can fight them

A 22-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly kidnapped a woman and demanded that she call her brothers so he could fight them on Friday.

Police said the man, of an unknown address, pushed the 22-year-old victim into his car at about 8:30 p.m. and began driving around the Ala Moana area, insisting she call her brothers.

When the woman refused, the man dropped her off at Ala Moana Park, hit her on the arm with a motorcycle helmet and ordered her to leave.

The suspect was stopped by police at 1:50 a.m. today at Makaloa and Sheridan streets on an unrelated matter. He was arrested on suspicion of kidnapping and third-degree assault.
