Hawaii County police released autopsy results for two tourists who died while snorkeling along the Kohala Coast in June.

Police said a 50-year-old San Francisco man died from cardiac arrest, and not from drowning while snorkeling off the  Mauna Lani Beach Club in South Kohala about 12:35 p.m. June 13.  An Utah tourist on a paddleboard brought Tsang to shore, where a nurse and lifeguards performed CPR. 

He was taken to North Hawaii Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

An autopsy also determined that 71-year-old Sokoon Yu of Flour Mound, Texas, died from asphyxia due to near drowning when she was snorkeling with a tour group in waters along the Kohala Coast on June 26. 

She was also pronounced dead at North Kohala Community hospital.
