Paramedics took three Maui residents to Maui Memorial Medical Center Wednesday afternoon after a jeep ran off the side of the road  and rolled over down an embankment near old Maui High School on Holomua Road.

Five people were in the jeep at the time of the 3:51 p.m. accident, according to a news release from Maui County Paramedics Association.

The jeep rolled  25 to 30 feet down an embankment where its front end was pinned up against several large boulders.

All five occupants were able to get out of  the vehicle. Paramedics took three men to the hospital in stable condition.

A 18-year-old man suffered chest and shoulder injuries, a 20-year-old man had an arm fracture and lacerations and a 19-year-old man went to the hospital with arm and back injuries, paramedics said. The three men were in the back seat of the jeep and were not wearing seat belts, according to the news release.
