The University of Hawaii Maui College and Takamatsu University of Japan signed a memorandum on Friday for cultural exchange.
The agreement seeks to promote international understanding and cooperation, dissemination of learning, strengthening of cultural ties and the establishment of educational and professional programs between the two institutions.
The president of Takamatsu University, Dr. Masamichi Tsukuda, traveled from Japan to sign the memorandum and tour the campus.
