Body surfer injured after collisions with surfboarders off Portlock
A body surfer was seriously injured after collisions with surfboarders Wednesday night in the China Walls area in Portlock, a fire official said.
Fire Capt. Terry Seelig said when fire rescue personnel arrived, the man had climbed out in the cliff area, and he stated he had collisions with some surfboarders.
Emergency Medical Services received the call at 6:45 p.m.
EMS transported by ambulance a 36-year-old man in serious condition to the Queen’s Medical Center Wednesday evening after he was struck by two surfboards, according to an EMS supervisor and from EMS transmissions.
