Men arrested for allegedly stealing iPhone from Waikiki pizzeria

Two men were arrested early Sunday morning after they allegedly stole an iPhone and charger from a Waikiki pizzeria.

Police said that at 12:28 a.m. 32-year-old Waipahu man stole an iPhone and charger belonging to the owner of Agostino’s Pizza on Kuhio Avenue, which was plugged into a power strip at the restaurant.

The suspect and his companion, a 24-year-old Kapolei man, left the restaurant and got into a car, police said. The 24-year-old suspect got out of the car and dumped the charger when a security guard intervened and helped to apprehend the two suspects, according to police. 

The men were arrested on suspicion of second-degree theft.
