A 29-year-old Waialua man was charged with first-degree negligent homicide today in connection with the death early Sunday morning of man who was waiting in a parked car for a North Shore road to reopen following this weekend’s tsunami alert.

Police said that Donald Halleron was speeding when his truck hit three parked cars shortly after midnight on Wilikina Drive.
