A 25-year-old man accidentally shot himself in the thigh this afternoon with a .40-caliber gun at a Mililani house.
According to Emergency Medical Services, the man was taken in serious but stable condition to a trauma center after a 2:56 p.m. call Thursday.
The man was holding the gun when he accidentally shot his thigh. The hollow-point bullet went into his inner thigh and out his outer thigh, leaving a nickel-size entrance wound, according to EMS radio transmission.
