Alaska Airlines’ first Portland-Kauai flight will arrive in Lihue this afternoon following an 11:20 a.m. takeoff from Oregon.

The seasonal service adds to the airline’s existing schedule of flights between Portland and Honolulu, Maui and Kona.

Alaska Air will initiate seasonal service between Bellingham, Wash. and Maui on Thursday, adding to its Bellingham-to-Honolulu service.

Meanwhile, another seasonal route between Anchorage, Alaska and Kona, on Hawaii island, will commence Saturday.
