Chow will delay announcing starting quarterback
Hawaii head coach Norm Chow will delay announcing a starting quarterback until later this week.
Chow was expected to promote Jeremy Higgins to No. 1, following the Warriors’ seventh consecutive loss this past weekend.
Instead, Chow said Higgins and Sean Schroeder, a Duke transfer who started the first nine games, will split reps in this week’s practices, ahead of Friday’s road game against Air Force.
But Chow said Higgins, a third-year sophomore from Saint Louis School, will take the first snaps in drills.
Also, Chow confirmed that running back Will Gregory will be suspended for this week’s game.
Gregory was ejected in the first period after allegedly throwing two punches at a Boise State player during a punt coverage this past weekend.
