Woman arrested after shoving, attempting to bribe police officer in Chinatown

A woman was arrested when she pushed a police officer who refused to accept a bribe from her in Chinatown over the weekend.

Police said that the officer, 31, stopped the woman, 45, at 31 North Hotel Street at about 4:10 p.m. Saturday and was attempting to cite her for jaywalking when she offered him money to not write the citation.

When the officer refused, the woman shoved him in the chest with both hands and then slapped him in the face, police said. She was then arrested on suspicion of bribery and harassment.
