Man charged with robbery of Kalihi bank
A 55-year-old man was charged today with a federal charge of bank robbery for an attempted robbery of the Kalihi branch of Bank of Hawaii on Monday.
Edward Juckel was being held with no bail on the federal charge.
The incident occurred at about 8:45 a.m. at 1950 N. King St. Police said the man demanded money from a teller who gave him an undisclosed sum.
Officers arrested the man outside the front entrance of the bank at about 9 a.m., police said.
