Woman charged in robbery of Hilo driver, 68

A Hawaii island woman has been charged in the robbery of a 68-year-old Hilo man.

Bail was set for Chasity-Ann Aiu-Horie at $17,000.

Police charged her Tuesday with first-degree robbery, first-degree assault, and second-degree theft.

The Hilo man said that on May 25, he gave a couple a ride to a location in Hilo at 1 a.m., police said.

He said he was assaulted and his wallet was stolen.

He sustained head injuries but recovered,

Another suspect, Timothy “Timmy” Russ Southern Jr., 26, was charged with the same offense last week.
