Police arrested a 27-year-old Makiki man Monday for allegedly choking and dragging by the hair his former live-in girlfriend in October.

On Oct. 5, the man and the 28-year-old woman got into an argument that turned physical, police said.

Police said the man allegedly grabbed the woman by the hair and dragged her along the ground, causing pain and injury.

The man allegedly then stood behind her, put his arm around her neck and choked her.

Police arrested the man on suspicion of felony abuse of a household member. The woman is the mother of his two children.
