Waianae man arrested in New Year’s Day shooting case
Police arrested a 27-year-old Waianae man New Year’s Day for allegedly trying to kill a 34-year-old man in Waianae.
Police said the younger man went to the older man’s home. When the victim exited his home, the suspect allegedly shot him at 5:26 a.m.. The suspect then fled the area.
Police arrested him at 7:35 p.m. Tuesday on suspicion of second-degree attempted murder.
