Pearl City man, 52, arrested by FBI on child pornography offenses
A 52-year-old Pearl City man was arrested last Friday for allegedly forcing a minor to engage in sexual activity to produce pornography, the FBI reported Wednesday.
Ray Yokoyama was charged with one count of child pornography production and one count of child pornography possession. The production charge carries a maximum penalty of 30 years while the possession count could add up to 20 years if he is convicted.
Yokoyama was arraigned in U.S. District Court on Friday and is being held pending a detention hearing scheduled for 1:30 p.m. tomorrow before U.S. Magistrate Kevin Chang.
An affidavit filed by an FBI agent said that after receiving a tip from undercover FBI offices in Dallas, federal agents here used a search warrant to raid his Pearl City home on Jan. 18.
A compact disc on Yokoyama’s desk contained images and a video of an underaged male engaged in sexual activity.
