Woman critically injured in Waipahu hit-and-run crash dies
Police said a 49-year-old woman critically injured in a hit-and-run crash Wednesday morning in Waipahu died Thursday afternoon.
Police said a pickup truck, possibly red, struck the woman at Paiwa and Puloku streets as she was heading for a city bus. The woman was crossing Paiwa Street outside a marked crosswalk about 6 a.m., police said.
The driver reportedly stopped and then drove off, police said.
The woman was taken in critical condition with head and internal injuries to a hospital, where she died 12:16 p.m. Thursday, police said.
