Bill’s Gamblin Hall, formerly Barbary Coast, closes in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS >> Bill’s Gamblin’ Hall & Saloon closed its doors on the Las Vegas Strip Monday.

Drai’s After Hours, a nightclub inside the Old West-themed casino, held a final bash Sunday night.

The casino is expected to reopen in 2014 as a boutique hotel with a new name. The nightclub is expected to re-open as well.

Caesars Entertainment Corp. announced last fall that it had secured $185 million to gut Bill’s Gamblin’ Hall and convert it into an upscale hotel and club.

The casino kitty-corner to the Bellagio was known as the Barbary Coast until 2007.
