A 50-year-old visitor from Washington state who was pulled from waters off Kaaawa this morning has died.
The man was identified as Joe Kinnikin of Everett, Wash.
Kinnikin was reported swimming in an area fronting Keo Place and Kamehameha Highway when he got into trouble. He was transported in critical condition to an area hospital, where he later died.
