HONESDALE, Pa. » A man has pleaded guilty to one count of simple assault and other charges for attacking two women in northeastern Pennsylvania while he was naked and bloody and gnawing on the head of one of them.

The Times-Tribune of Scranton reports 21-year-old Doylestown resident Richard Cimino Jr. pleaded guilty in Wayne County Court. That’s according to his attorney, Paul Welker. Sentencing is May 2.

Investigators say Cimino stripped down and broke into an empty home in Hawley in September, then was badly hurt jumping from a window. Authorities say he then attacked two women walking down the street, gnawing on the head of one. Both escaped.

Cimino was found lying in the road, covered in blood. Officials believe he was under the influence of some kind of drug.
