Hawaii County fire officials are investigating a fire at the Mauna Kea Fairways resort complex.

The fire alarm at 62-3333 Ahuula Place was reported at 6:10 a.m. Fifteen firefighters brought the blaze under control 20 minutes later.

Upon arrival, firefighters saw flames visible in the kitchen.

No one was home.

There was no immediate estimate of damage.
