Traffic delays likely on H-1 Freeway

Road work will likely lead to traffic delays on the the H-1 Freeway between Pearl City and Waipahu this weekend.

There will be multiple lane closures on the H-1 Freeway in the ewa-direction between the Pearl Ctiy/Waimalu off-ramp and the Waipahu off-ramp Sunday through 5 a.m. Monday for viaduct deck repairs. Two left lanes will also be in the town-bound direction from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. from the Kamehameha Highway overpass to the H-1/H-2 merge.

Similar work last Sunday backed up traffic in the Pearl City area.

Night viaduct work will also continue in three ewa-bound lanes from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. Monday through Thursday nights between the Pearl City/Waimalu off-ramp and the Waipahu off-ramp. Repairs will also close the right freeway lane in the ewa-bound direction on Friday between 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

One lane of Pali Highway will also be closed on Wednesday through Friday in both directions between South Kuakini Street and Vineyard Boulevard for utility repairs from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Rock barrier repairs will close one lane on Friday between Pauoa Road and Jack Lane/Akamu Place in the Kailua-bound direction between 8:20 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
