After being passed over in the National Football League Draft, former University of Hawaii football players Luke Ingram, Mike Edwards and Paipai Falemalu reached agreements on free-agent contracts. Ingram, a long-snapper, said he agreed to a three-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Ingram did not miss a game during his four-season at UH.

Edwards, who was used as a cornerback and kickoff returner, will join the New York Jets, according to agent Michael Hoffman. Edwards had three kickoff returns for touchdowns as a UH junior in 2012. He decided to relinquish his senior season to apply for the draft. Although he was invited to the NFL combine, he was not selected in the draft that concluded with the final four rounds today.

Kahuku’s Paipai Falemalu also signed a free-agent deal with the Cleveland Browns. He will join former UH football player Davone Bess, who was traded from the Miami Dolphins on Friday.
