Ocean Safety personnel came to the aid of passengers aboard a 35-foot catamaran than ran aground about 150 yards offshore the Halekulani Hotel Sunday afternoon.
Nine of the 11 passengers were transported to shore via a rescue craft. The captain and an assistant remained onboard to work with the U.S. Coast Guard regarding what to do with the vessel.
No injuries were reported.
