Maui firefighters battle landfill fire
Maui fire officials report that a compost fire within the perimeter of the Central Maui Landfill is 60 percent contained.
Fire crews remained on scene throughout the night on Sunday.
The alarm was called in at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
About two acres within the landfill of compost are involved.
