Four Seasons Resort Hualalai on Hawaii island and the island of Maui are top finishers in theTravel + Leisure 2013 World’s Best Awards Readers’ Survey results, released this morning.

The Four Seasons Resort Hualalai was named best hotel in Hawaii region, which, according to T+L, is its own region.

The island of Maui was named best island in the region by T+L readers this year, and is a perennial favorite.

Palawan in the Philippines, was named the best island in the world.

The list also names the world’s best hotel brand; mega-, large-, small-ship and river cruise lines, international and domestic airlines, tour operator, safari outfitter, car rental agency, destination spa and hotel spa.

The top winners in each category will be honored at an awards ceremony in New York City on Thursday, July 18, hosted by Editor-in-Chief Nancy Novogrod and Vice President and Publisher Jay Meyer.
