Maui’s new double-decker bus will take on Kihei route
WAILUKU, Maui >> A double-decker bus joined Maui’s public bus fleet today.
The county says the bus was purchased used for about $380,000. It can transport 90 passengers — double the amount of a regular bus.
Its capacity will allow the bus to service the Kihei Islander No. 2 route, which has a large number of residents and tourists who use it daily to travel between central and south Maui.
