Police arrest work furlough escapee
A 43-year-old Oahu Community Correctional Center could face another five years behind bars after escaping from a work furlough program last weekend.
Jason Gomes left on a work furlough pass 5 a.m. Sunday, but never reported back to the prison at 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
Gomes was recaptured at 12:55 p.m. Thursday in Chinatown
He was in prison for second-degree robbery.
Gomes is now facing second-degree escape charge, which carries a maximum prison sentence of five years.
