Medical Examiner IDs Hanauma Bay drowning victim
The Medical Examiner’s office has identified the 63-year-old visitor from Korea who drowned while snorkeling at Hanauma Bay on Thursday as Kyu Shin.
Shin’s death was classified as accidental. He was from Seoul.
Lifeguards at the city park pulled the tourist out of the water and brought him to shore.
Attempts to revive the man failed and he died at 11:40 a.m.
