A pickup truck flipped on its side on wet roads on the Pali Highway at about 5:35 p.m. No one was seriously injured, paramedics said.

Honolulu Police say a combination of wet roads and drivers going too fast may be responsible for a rash of crashes during the afternoon commute.

The Honolulu Police Department closed Likelike Highway twice Monday afternoon in the Kaneohe direction.

The highway was closed at 4:49 p.m. at Nalanieha Street in Kalihi after a three-car accident inside the Wilson Tunnel and reopened at about 5:30 p.m.

Police had just reopened Likelike Highway at about 4:22 p.m. to clear six separate accidents that stretched right before the entrance to the Wilson Tunnel to about a mile outside the tunnel on the Kaneohe side at about 4 p.m..

Police also reported three other accidents that may be related to slick roads.

The Department of Emergency Management reminded motorists to use caution when driving on wet roads in rainy weather.
