Police are investigating whether a 26-year-old man who allegedly tried to cash a personal check stolen in a burglary, may be connected to other identity theft cases.
Police arrested the suspect after he tried to cash the check at a Waikiki bank on Tuesday. Officers then discovered the suspect had two credit cards that belonged to a 24-year-old woman. Police arrested him on suspicion of forgery, identity theft and possession of stolen property offenses.
