Body found in Calif. park ID’d as missing federal investigator
OAKLAND, Calif. » Authorities say a body found near a Northern California park last week is that of a missing federal investigator.
Oakland police identified the remains as those of 50-year-old Sandra Coke of Oakland today.
Search and rescue crews found the body in a woodsy area near Laguna Valley Park in unincorporated Vacaville on Friday afternoon.
Coke worked as a capital case investigator for the federal public defender’s office in Sacramento. She was last seen in Oakland days earlier.
Oakland police have identified Coke’s former boyfriend, Randy Alana, as a person of interest in the case. Police say he and Coke were seen together on Aug. 4.
