Honolulu police were looking for 3 suspects in an early morning fight in Kalihi that left an 18-year-old man in serious condition with multiple gunshot wounds.

According to an Emergency Medical Services Division report, paramedics took the man to the hospital after the shooting at about 4:55 a.m. near the Kapalama Post Office at 1217 North King Street.

The victim told police he was befriended by three men who appeared to be in their 20s, and that he and one of the men got into a physical altercation.

As the two men were fighting, one of the suspect¹s friends pulled out a handgun and shot the victim, police said.
