2 men injured in helicopter crash in Kunia pineapple field
A helicopter crashed into a pineapple field about one mile south of Wheeler Army Airfield this afternoon, injuring the two people aboard.
The pilot and his passenger, both adult males, got out of the downed helicopter on their own.
The Federal Fire Department provided medical treatment at the scene and transported the pilot and passenger to a hospital for further evaluation and medical treatment.
The pilot reported engine trouble about 5:15 p.m.
