Man nearly drowns after jumping from Black Rock in Lahaina
A 25-year-old man was in critical condition after nearly drowning at a popular diving spot in Lahaina Friday evening.
According to a Maui Fire Department report, the man jumped off the back side of Black Rock, surfaced, but submerged again.
Friends of the victim, who was identified only as a tourist, pulled him from the water and performed CPR until paramedics arrived.
The man was transported to Maui Memorial Medical Center in critical condition.
