The Medical Examiner’s office has identified the 46-year-old Ahuimanu woman who was killed while retrieving items from her pickup truck as Katinia Mikaele.

The victim had parked her Toyota pickup truck on a steep driveway at 47-706 Halemanu St. to unlock the gate in front of her home.

Police said the woman was unloading items from the bed of the truck when the vehicle slipped out of gear and rolled over her. The truck continued to roll and struck another home at 47-704 Halemanu St. near Valley of the Temples Memorial Park.

The victim was taken by ambulance in critical condition to the Queen’s Medical Center, where she died.

The accident occurred at 2 p.m. and is the fifth non-traffic fatality this year.
