The state has closed a Kauai trail on the Napali Coast due to a helicopter accident on Kalalau Beach Thursday afternoon.
The Department of Land and Natural Resources reports that a pilot and two passengers were uninjured in the unexpected landing today, and were taken to a hospital. The Kauai Fire Department helicopter medevaced the three to a hospital.
The Division of State Parks will notify hikers with camping permits of the Kalalau Trail closure.
DLNR will refund persons in full who are unable to camp due to this closure.
