Police ask for help in identifying carjacking suspect

Honolulu police released security camera images and video of a suspect in a carjacking in downtown Honolulu on Oct. 1.

Honolulu police released a security camera image of a suspect in a knife-point carjacking in downtown Honolulu.

The incident happened at about 4:15 p.m. Tuesday on Kukui Street.

Police said the victim was in his parked car on Kukui Street when the man reached through the window, brandished a knife and demanded the victim get out of the vehicle.

The suspect then fled in the vehicle, police said.
