Kalanianaole Highway between the Koko Head Shooting Range Complex and the Halona Blowhole Lookout is closed Wednesday between 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. as part of an ongoing project to repair Ihiihilauakea Bridge.

Partial road closure will continue through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., daily, and will continue through the end of the year. Traffic will be contraflowed during this time.

Motorists are advised to use Kealahou Street and Lunalilo Home Road as a detour route around the work zone. Motorists are also advised to anticipate delays and to drive with caution through the work area.

Repair to the Ihiihilauakea Bridge includes spall barrier and road repairs, followed with a carbon fiber wrap installation for reinforcement. Project cost is estimated at $2.4 million.
