A 33-year-old convicted felon was arrested early Tuesday morning near the Honolulu Zoo for carrying an unregistered firearm.
Police said the suspect, who has no local address, was stopped in the area across from the Queen Kapiolani Hotel just before midnight for violating the curfew for city parks.
He was arrested on suspicion of possessing ammunition, carrying an unregistered firearm and several contempt warrants.
