Former Lanikai PTSA president pleads not guilty to $50,000 theft
A former president of the Lanikai Elementary School Parent, Teacher, Student Association pleaded not guilty in state court Monday morning to stealing more than $50,000 from the organization.
Tonya Taylor is scheuduled to stand trial in January. Her lawyer and the prosecutor say, however, that Taylor, 43, is cooperating to resolve the matter.
Attorney General David M. Louie on Oct. 16 announced that a two-count complaint was filed in Circuit Court charging Taylor with first-degree theft and money laundering.
