Hawaii County firefighters found a body after battling a house fire in the Eden Roc section of Mountain View Tuesday night.

Firefighters were called to the scene of the fire at 7:09 p.m.

The 800-square foot single-story home was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived at 7:35 p.m.

Firefighters brought the fire under control at 7:45 p.m. and extinguished it at 10:04 p.m.

A person’s remains were found inside the home after the fire was extinguished.

The victim has not been identified.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Damage to the home was estimated at $33,000.
