Muggy, wet weather expected to cool off

A cold front to the northwest of the state is expected to move over Oahu later tonight.

Southerly Kona winds bringing humid conditions, a little vog and some showers to the islands. The winds will become cool and northerly after a cold front passes.

A cold front, moving down from the northwest, brough clouds and showers to Kauai and Oahu may get some heavy rain overnight into Friday morning.

The system will move down the island chain, bringing rain to Maui tonight into Friday and stalling near the Big Island, which could see heavy rain Friday and Saturday.

Another weather system could bring more rain and even snow to Hawaii island summits on Sunday.

But the rest of the state should be mostly dry this weekend.

But more rain could be coming to Oahu starting Sunday night.

Northerly winds behind the front will bring cool temperatures at night and in the early morning hours, with temperatures dropping into the low 60s through the weekend.
