Workers suffer electrical burns in Maui industrial accident
Paramedics responded to 1919 Hau Street at 1:55 p.m. Wednesday on a report of a single-vehicle crash and found the victim dead at the scene.
Two men, both 26, suffered electrical burns while working on power lines in Haiku Wednesday afternoon, a Maui County Police spokesman said.
One of the workers reached for a temporary jumper line when witnesses heard a loud noise followed by an electrical arc.
The men, who worked for Henkels and McCoy, were initially treated at Maui Memorial Medical Center and then taken to the Straub Hospital on Oahu for further treatment.
