Police have closed Makalani Street in Kaneohe between Kaneohe Bay Drive and Ihilani Street due to a downed tree and power lines. About 1,000 customers in the area subsequently lost power around 11 p.m.
Motorists should expect traffic lights in the area including Kamehameha Highway and Likelike Highway to be out due to the power outage, according to police. Hawaiian Electric crews have restored power to all residential customers in the area.
