For the first time in about a week, the National Weather Service is calling for mostly sunny skies over Honolulu.

Light Kona winds mean vog and muggy conditions will continue and clouds will build up over interior sections, bringing the chance of some isolated showers.

The high temperature is expected to be 83 degrees.

Forecasters say the cloudy, rainy weather is mostly behind us, but there’s still a chance of rain over the Big island.

The muggy, hazy Kona conditions are likely to continue through Friday, when weak trade winds may return, along with an increased chance of showers mostly in windward and mauka areas.

Heavy rains near Kaaawa eased overnight and a flood advisory for Windward Oahu expired this morning.

The week of rains also prompted a brown water advisory on Kauai from Waimea to Kealia.

The public is advised to stay out of flood waters and storm water runoff due to possible overflowing cesspools, sewer manholes, pesticides, animal fecal matter, dead animals, pathogens, chemicals, and associated flood debris.

If coastal waters are turbid and brown, stay out, officials said.
