OCCC inmate arrested after returning a day late from furlough
A 40-year-old Oahu Community Correctional Center inmate was arrested for escape Monday night a day after he failed to return from a furlough.
Nathaneal Pomaikai Johnston was arrested at 6 p.m. on suspicion of second degree escape after failing to return to the prison at 4 p.m. Sunday.
He was serving time for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and second-degree burglary. His next parole hearing was scheduled for July.
