8-foot shark spotted off Kaimana Beach Park

An 8-foot aggressive Galapagos shark was spotted off Kaimana Beach Park in Waikiki around 1 p.m. Saturday, but the beach remains open.
According to Ocean Safety officials, a diver who had a line of fish said that the shark went toward him. He was about 250 yards off shore.
Signs have been posted and lifeguards are patrolling the area with rescue skis and verbally warning beachgoers.
