Man nearly drowns at Pokai Bay
A man believed to be in his 40s is in critical condition following an apparent near-drowning incident at Pokai Bay on Sunday.
Paramedics responding to a 5:40 p.m. emergency call found the man unresponsive in the ocean.
The man was transported to an area hospital.
