Ka Uka Boulevard reopens after accident
Honolulu Police have reopened Ka Uka Boulevard between Moaiani and Uke’e streets in Waipio after a car damaged a utility pole.
The Honolulu Traffic Incidents website reports an accident in the area near Costco at 5:35 a.m. Sunday.
Hawaiian Electric Co. spokesman Darren Pai said the motor vehicle accident damaged a utility pole.
Power was restored to 18 customers at about 8 a.m. following the crash.
Pai said HECO crews finished their repair work about 2:30 p.m., but that crews from Hawaiian Telcom and Oceanic Time Warner Cable were still at work.
The road reopened at about 8:15 p.m.
